Rebates for Medical Grade garments are included in your Extras or Ancillary health cover. If you only have hospital cover, you will not be able to claim garments. Bodyment is a registered provider for HBF and NIB health insurance funds. To claim from either of these, you should not need to attach the Bodyment Member Medical Rebate Form, however it won’t hurt to do so.
If you are with any other fund like Medibank Private, AHM, or BUPA, you will need your Health Professional to complete the rebate form for you. Make sure they include their provider number as this is required. Unless your are with HBF or NIB, you must use your health practitioner’s provider number.
Bodyment only carries the best quality Surgical grade compression garments. These include post-op bras, bodysuits, abdominal binders, girdles and graduated compression socks and stockings.
Your Private Health Insurance company allows a amount per year that they will reimburse you for the cost of medical garments. With HBF for example, most members are allowed to claim up to $500 every calendar year and receive back either 85% or 100% of the cost. There may be a minimum spend amount however in order to be eligible to claim.
Please contact your Private Health Fund prior to purchasing to ensure you are clear on what you may or may not be covered for.
